WordsWorth: Increase your word power with undoubtedly one of the best word apps for the iPhone

WordsWorth is a word game that others like wurdle and scrabble better watch out for because this one will lay down some serious competition.  In WordsWorth your objective is to link letters together to form words of three letters or more (also change settings to increase the threshold).  You lose by one of the timed letters expiring.  You can choose the length of the timer in settings.  Once you reach a certain amount of points you advance to the next level, more and more timer letters will appear.

Special gold or wild card letters will appear to help you along the way.  The game is quite addicting and there’s always the settings to mix it up a bit.  You can choose the grid size, amount of scrambles (you may mix up the board when you get stuck) per level, timer delay and minimum word size.  There is a buzzword on the bottom or the screen that appears occasionally, scoring this buzzword will gain you extra points.  The points system is well thought of, like scrabble each letter has its own value but there’s some added touches like word length and reward tiles.

99games did a spectacular job on this application.  The board looks fantastic and the entire layout is in a library style theme (although suiting for the app I wish for a more modern layout).  Graphics and sound effects are just right, in word games we wish for a relaxing atmosphere that gets your brain going.  iPod music is playable.  The game saves when you exit the app.

WordsWorth is an addictive thinking game that kills time quickly.  I highly recommend it to any fan of word or puzzle style games, wurdle, and scrabble.  It is beyond worth the $1.99
