We’ve compiled a list of superb apps that give lots of bang for the buck.  (These are not in any particular order)

  1. Crazy Tanks [iTunes Link] : Games – A fantastic accelerometer controlled tank shooting game.  Complete with many different levels and a beautiful 3D environment.  The developer added a few powerups to make the game interesting, we have a winner here folks!  Screenshots here
  2. Cuorbs [iTunes Link] : Games – A small game similar to Dactyl.  We have a review here and screenshots here
  3. iFart Mobile [iTunes Link] : Entertainment – If you’re into soiling the iPhone’s good name as a fun app platform, or just like making digitized fart sounds, then this is for you.  The best fart generator in the App Store.  Screenshots here
  4. Koi Pond [iTunes Link] : Entertainment – A koi pond in your pocket, this app demonstrates the beautiful capabilities the iPhone has and is nice for relaxing and a few quick minutes of showing off your iPhone Grin
  5. The Chemical Touch [iTunes Link] : Education – Simply the best app for any chem student in high school or college.  This is the entire periodic table, and a whackload of information for each element, in the palm of your hand.
  6. Block Breaker Deluxe 2 [iTunes Link] : Games – The best breakout game in the App Store for only a buck.  I was addicted to this game for a long period of time.  TONS of levels and lots of powerups.  Screenshots here
  7. iHunt [iTunes Link] : Games – If you’re into the shooting gallery category of apps then you might want to check this one out.
  8. Speed Brain [iTunes Link] : Education – This is fast thinking people!  If you’re a fan of brain toot and other mental exercising games, check this out.
  9. Burning Monkey Casino [iTunes Link] : Games – I was shocked when I saw this was only a dollar.  Many different well developed casino games in a single app.  If you’re a gambler bet all in on this app.
  10. Moto Chaser [iTunes Link] : Games – Another fan favourite from Freeverse, this racing game features an assortment of action packed racing levels.
  11. Air Hockey by Acceleroto [iTunes Link] : Games – The best air hockey app in the App Store…seriously.
  12. iFish [iTunes Link] : Entertainment – A well developed fishing application for the iPhone and iPod Touch
  13. Ambiance [iTunes Link] : Productivity – Soothing sounds make for a great “ambiance.”  If you find yourself in noisy situations often, check out this app now!
  14. Units [iTunes Link] : Utilities – The ultimate unit conversion tool for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
  15. Mote-M [iTunes Link] : Games – Like tower defense games?  Although not the greatest 3D looking game out there this 2D tower defense game is sure to bring joy.
  16. Space Monkey [iTunes Link] : Games – An interesting game in which you control a monkey collecting space garbage.  Worth a look at if you’re into unique iPhone gaming experiences.
  17. Kiwi [iTunes Link] : Reference – An amazing wikipedia viewer for the iPhone and iPod Touch.  Kiwi replaced wikipanion for me by a long shot.
  18. Dr. Awesome [iTunes Link] : Games – A simply fantastic accelerometer experience using your own contacts list to play.
  19. Chess Lite [iTunes Link] : Games – If you don’t want to spend the $2.99 on the full version this is a very suitable chess app for the iPhone.
  20. Pathways [iTunes Link] : Games – A retake on a classic strategy adventure game.
  21. Shotgun Santa [iTunes Link] : Games – Bring some holiday shotgun cheer this year.  Great for a laugh.
  22. Zombie Invasion [iTunes Link] : Games – An app that could use some work but a great start on the endless waves of zombie games.
  23. Meeting Time [iTunes Link] : Business – A great app for planning meetings that you’ll need to travel for.
  24. Send Contact [iTunes Link] : Utilities – A nice way to send a co-worker contact information for your new client.
  25. Super Sniper [iTunes Link] : Games – If you like covert sniper games this is for you.
  26. iReadMinds [iTunes Link] : Entertainment – A very nice magic trick to puzzle your friends and family.
  27. High Speed Chase [iTunes Link] : Games – This game is very addicting and I HIGHLY recommend it.  See for yourself Smile
  28. Pocket God [iTunes Link] : Entertainment – An island in your pocket, a few minutes of entertaining fun.  The developer comes out with updates frequently always keeping the app fun.
  29. Flick Bowling [iTunes Link] : Games – A pretty good bowling game, very realistic.
  30. Speed Fiend [iTunes Link] : Games – A unique card game definitely worth checking out.
